Take a look at these common questions and answers before you contact tech support about your problem with the Digital Waxx Service.

Q. What is the Digital Waxx Service?:
A. It's a way to get free new records via mp3, in its various versions, without having your email in box clogged up and over quota.

Q. How much does it cost?
A. Not a penny to you.

Q. What do I need, to get it to work for me?
A. An email/web mail that can view html (Outlook, Entourage, Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail all work well), and a compatible browser (Safari OS X & the AOL browser have issues, contact us for assistance).

Q. How do I register for Digital Waxx Service?
A. Following the links provided in the Digital Waxx Email will get you to the log in page. Clicking on "Click here to register your account?" will take you to a registration form.

Q. What if i forget my password or user name?
A. If you forgot your password click on "Forget your user name or Password" and you will be prompted to fill in the email you logged in with, and a new password. Your user name and password will be email to your registered email account.

Q. Can I change my info?
A. You may change your registered information (email address, address, and password, etc...) at any time. If you have a new e-mail address, for example, you can update that.

Q. I signed in, what do I do now?
A. Clicking on "Tracks" takes you directly to a list of songs initially sorted from newest to oldest. Start clicking, listening and downloading.

Q. Man, why do I have to give review? I just want the music!
A. What you have to say about the records is valuable information to the labels, artists and distributors. More importantly, if you want the quality of the music the labels put out to increase, giving review is the only way to make that happen. At the end of the day, THE LABELS NEED YOUR OPINIONS and THE MUSIC IS FREE!

Q. Fine, how do I download the music?
A. After you provide us with your honest review (we WANT you to tell us if a record is wack or dope), you'll be able to check off what versions you want and download them in a zip file.

Q. What if I can't hear any music to give the review? What do I do?
A. Download the latest version of the flash player here!

Q. How do I unzip the mp3s?
A. In most cases you can simply double click the zip icon and the music will unzip into a folder. The zips can be opened with Stuffit Expander or Winzip. For instructions on how these work, please visit their websites.

Q. What if I erase the music, and want to download it again?
A. As long as we've got it up, you can still go back and re-download it. You did your part, we're not trying stiff you.

Q. Do I have to give review again, for the same song?
A. No way.

Q. What if I need higher quality audio?
A. We try to encode music at the highest bit rate while keeping file size in mind. As mainstream storage and technology advances we will encode music at higher rates for everyone. If you're nice when you ask, you can get higher quality mp3s from our staff.

Q. What about vinyl, & CDs?
A. While vinyl and cd servicing is not part of this service, we'd be happy to help you obtain either upon request. Its also important for you to indicate that you want vinyl or cd servicing when you give your review, so that the labels know who needs what, and can supply it accordingly.

Q. How do I unsubscribe?
A. There is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of all emails sent to you. You may also copy and paste the link provided to unsubscribe. You may re-subscribe at anytime, we don't hold grudges.
